OLDHAM COUPLING

The Oldham coupling is a 3-piece design, consisting of aluminum alloy hubs and a back-lash-free acetal disc, which slides along 2 axes. Misalignment is accomplished thru sliding contact, not by flexure. This coupling design is used for general purpose applications up to 4,000 rpm. The serviceable acetal disc can be replaced at low cost, and outlasts fatigue-prone monobloc couplings.
